Vancouver Ocean Themed Workshop

We're diving into the deep blue depths for this workshop! Fish and Seaweed earrings, made from reclaimed leather. In this workshop, you'll get to make 2 projects: A pair of Fish Earrings and pair of Seaweed or Coral earrings. You'll be able to customize one of our fish, seaweed or coral designs or create your own. We'll be using simple jewelry making techniques paired with leather painting techniques, and get into some potentially fine detail painting (depending on your design)
 
I will be providing an assortment of leather sheets, painted up an an array of colours. We'll be cutting our pieces from these sheets, and customizing them as we go. All leather is repurposed - coming from scrap material or second hand clothing. The paints are Angelus Leather Paints which are acrylic-based. The amounts we'll be using will be small, and paint accidents are rare - but if you're prone to a little clumsiness you might want to bring a smock or apron. We will have findings such as hoops and hooks in 14K Gold-Plated + Stainless Steel. If you require clip-ons please let us know. If you’d like to upgrade to 14K Gold-Filled Hooks, let us know ahead of time and we can have some available at $6/per pair to add-on. 
 
This workshop may be suitable for children over 12 with a reasonable level of manual dexterity - please check with Jamie if you’ve got questions. We will be using sharp scissors and doing some cutting of small leather pieces. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, with a spot purchased for each participant. 
 
Refunds / Cancellations
This workshop is refundable up to 1 week in advance. Cancellations within 1 week of the workshop are non-refundable, as we begin painting leather and punching up shapes up to a week in advance
